CD Roundup - hyaaa!
Thursday, September 6th, 2007Sheriff Rawhide here with this month’s CD roundup. Got two fine dawgies here, from different ranches of the electronic music prairie, but both feisty fillies nonetheless, and of course, both running free and easy in Tokyo.
First up is Monochromatic Sunlight from Joseph Auer.
This 4-track EP is available from those nice folks over at smallfishrecords. If you like good, solid beats with warm, melodic overtones then don’t travel without this in your saddlebag. Auer moves away from the sweat stained dancefloor and into a chilled, members-only club with mood lighting and lots of very well-dressed people. A heady cocktail of house sensibilities and techno productivity.
Next up is DJ Funnel with [Moments Of]. This is part of the Mix Project from Vibrant Recordings.
A mammoth workhorse - this 29-track mix CD trots effortlessly and smoothly over lush, green fields of downbeat and hiphop.
